Welcome

Hello! This is our curriculum area. Here you can find an overview of our focus for each workshop. We design our lessons to have a PSHE Learning Objective demonstrated through a performing arts Learning Outcome. Scroll down to read more about how we work!

WHAT WE DO

Personal development with a dramatic difference -
Bloom Performing Arts is an afterschool performing arts programme focused on delivering PSHE topics through drama to develop the Social, Emotional and Mental Health of engaging students. Our aim at all times is to communicate value and facilitate realisations, as we believe that every child is precious.

PSHE

Personal, Social, Health & Economic.

HOW WE DO IT

Workshops -
Drama is the vehicle through which we deliver life changing lessons. Each workshop is carefully designed to empower and equip students to deal with issues they may face in the real world. We take learning objectives relating to our PSHE curriculum and pair them with dramatic conventions to learn through the production process, resulting in a powerful performance.

SMSC

Spiritual, Moral, Social & Cultural.

WHAT YOU SEE

The performance! -
While the performance is entertaining and confidence boosting, it is also the student's opportunity to demonstrate their practical understanding of the topics covered over the course of the project. You will see performances that are fuelled by a comprehensive understanding of the PSHE topics taught throughout the curriculum.

How to use this page:

This page is designed for you to track your child's learning from home. The following section shows you our Learning Objectives and Outcomes for each workshop, so make sure to ask your child what they learnt when they get home! Some workshops are entirely performance focussed - sometimes we need a full rehearsal to learn a specific technique. Please be aware that this is a guide and will depend on your child's term dates. Lesson plans are subject to change as we are continually updating our plans to give your child the best experience possible.

Thank You!

Our aim for each and every workshop is for the lessons to be remembered, not merely encountered. So we extend our most sincere gratitude to you, our families, for making each project happen - for the nights spent practicing lines, the time spent standing at school gates in the rain waiting to collect your children at the end of the sessions.

Thank you for working with us to enrich young lives.
