The Aristocats

HOLIDAY CLUB

12th-16th August 2024

Poynton Community Centre

Create a production of the beloved literary, Hollywood and Broadway classic! Our version of the play will be altered and will not be entirely accurate to the plot of the 1970 film.

Our Holiday Club is a week-long musical theatre course for ages 7 - 11 that culminates in a production of The Aristocats.

The week is a tried and tested blend of high-quality performing arts workshops, games and activities, and free social time designed to teach new skills and create memories that will last a lifetime.

In 2022, our team of professionals invested thousands into brand new, state-of-the-art lighting and sound equipment that will truly transform Poynton Community Centre into a professional theatre for the week. Twelve years on from our first Holiday Club, we are now able to offer participating children the most immersive and engaging musical theatre experience yet - and, on Friday, pick-up time becomes showtime as the children perform for an audience of family and friends. Students will be invited back to perform a section of their work on the following Sunday for a celebration ceremony with the Church.

Participation is just £145 (that's just £3.62 per hour!) per child, with a 10% discount for siblings. Only 20 children will be permitted to participate, and registration operates on a first-come-first-served basis.

We hope you enjoy reading through this webpage and finding out more about the project, and that we can include your child in our cast this year!

Hear from the Participants

Why take our word for it? Hear it from the horse's mouth! These primary-aged children were interviewed about their experience during 2019's The Greatest Holiday Club the day before their production of The Greatest Showman.

What Our Families Say

"Absolutely fantastic theatre group. My daughter and her friends have just enjoyed the best week of their summer holidays! [The team] is great with them- friendly and lots of fun! Their final production was brilliant. Would highly recommend." - Zabrina (Mum)

"My 8 year old daughter is doing the Easter club and is loving every minute of it! She has not stopped talking about it from the minute I picked her up!" - Kirsty (Mum)

"It was obvious all the children had had so much fun, capped by the satisfaction of performing and entertaining their audience - it was really funny. I don't think any of them realised just how much they have gained and learnt this week."

"Last night the focus was totally on the children, but I wanted to send huge thanks to you. [...] I think your 'all in it together' ethos is absolutely spot on. So much care, attention and planning clearly went into this week, and I'm surprised you are still standing considering the energy levels involved! [...] I am full of admiration for the way you create and calmly control that energy."

"We really look forward to hearing about future workshops and clubs - Thank you!" - Naomi (Mum)
