As we conclude the final week of term, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate what has been an exceptional couple of months at Bloom.

Our focus for this project has been teamwork – and students across all schools have really risen to the challenge. We’ve introduced lots of new games and exercises designed to strengthen group skills, and the response has been amazing. There’s been so much energy, support, and shared creativity in every session.
We’re also thrilled to say that scenes across all schools are shaping up to be the strongest we’ve ever seen at this stage in the process. The quality of characterisation and line learning this early on has honestly blown us away – we’ve never had so many students so confident, so soon. It’s a real credit to the hard work and focus everyone is bringing to rehearsals.
🌟 Stars of the Term
A huge well done to every student this term – the energy, kindness, and creativity across all schools has been something special. Here are a few standout students we'd like to celebrate:
EM – Cillian: for his brilliant sense of humour and consistently excellent behaviour – a joy to have in the room.
OLOR – Esme: for her standout characterisation work this term – detailed, engaging, and always committed.
SA – Charlotte Crow: for her beautiful behaviour and impressive line learning – calm, focused, and quietly excellent.
SH – Joshua: for being both hilarious and completely reliable – bringing laughter and leadership in equal measure.
V(C) – Daisy: for her wonderful attitude, positivity and behaviour – always bringing joy to those around her.
V(E) – Eva Sliv: for her kindness, calm presence, and excellent listening – a thoughtful and steady contributor.
PYTA – Sadie: for her quiet determination, thoughtful approach to every rehearsal, and the care she puts into every role – a brilliant example of steady, focused creativity.

Behind the Scenes at PYTA
Poynton Youth Theatre Academy has had a brilliant term. All scenes are fully blocked, and many students have stepped into new creative roles. Every week, the space is alive with students designing set pieces, creating projections, planning lighting and sound, choreographing movement, and rehearsing their scenes – it’s a proper hive of activity and imagination.
A Quick Reminder
As the weather gets warmer, we recommend students treat Bloom sessions like a PE lesson – wearing their Bloom top with shorts or other suitable activewear, and bringing a water bottle to stay hydrated.
