Wow! What an incredible performance from the kids on Saturday. We couldn’t be prouder of our talented students and all the hard work, dedication, and creativity they poured into this show. From start to finish, it was a true celebration of their commitment and growth, and the result was an event to remember.
Their ability to bring characters to life was remarkable, and the confidence they displayed was a joy to watch. The teamwork and support they showed one another created a positive, uplifting atmosphere that could be felt throughout the theatre. Added to this were the imaginative costumes, creative props, and fresh ideas that gave the performance its own unique spark. It was especially rewarding to see just how much each student has grown, handling the pressure of a live audience with professionalism, confidence, and pride.

Awards!
This week, we’ve been celebrating our students by presenting special awards that recognise the qualities we value most in our performers. These awards highlight not only talent, but also teamwork, dedication, and personal growth. The following awards are being presented this week:
1. Heart of the Cast: For consistently lifting others up, supporting fellow performers, and creating a positive, encouraging spirit in every rehearsal and onstage moment.
2. Director’s Choice: For outstanding commitment, professionalism, and bringing a unique presence and energy that made the performance truly shine.
3. Breakthrough Award: For remarkable growth in confidence and performance skills, courageously taking on challenges, and showing noticeable development from first rehearsal to final curtain.
Well done to all of our award recipients! Your hard work, positivity, and dedication do not go unnoticed.
We’re so proud of everything all of our students have achieved this term and can’t wait to see what they do next!

This term, we are thrilled to give a special shout out to the entire student body of Lostock Hall Primary School. For their very first performance with Bloom, they absolutely dazzled us and stood confidently alongside our experienced groups. The chaperones were especially impressed with their behaviour, describing them as the best behaved groups of the day. Their enthusiasm, dedication, and exemplary conduct made us incredibly proud.

Special Recognition: A huge thank you to Lissy & Sophia (PYTA) for their incredible work as stage managers for the performance. Their organisation, calm leadership, and attention to detail ensured everything ran smoothly behind the scenes, allowing our performers to shine. Their dedication was a vital part of the show’s success.
Looking Ahead!
As we reflect on this fantastic performance, we’re feeling incredibly excited about what’s to come. Next academic year we'll continue building on the skills and confidence our students have gained, creating even more inspiring and enriching experiences in future terms.
We’re delighted to announce that once again our September to February performances will feature examined productions. Students will receive a grade in Group Acting from the prestigious Victoria College of Music and Drama London - a recognised qualification they can proudly reference on applications for years to come.

Our primary school students will take part in a specially written play designed to support learning across key PSHE topics, helping to develop their Social, Emotional, and Mental Health skills in a meaningful and engaging way.
Meanwhile, the Poynton Youth Theatre Academy will explore a selection of classic plays from their English set texts. This exciting approach blends academic study with practical drama, allowing students to fully explore characters from their GCSE English curriculum. By the time they reach their exams, students will have a deep, confident understanding of the material. Alongside this, a strong focus on GCSE Drama Assessment Objectives will ensure students are well prepared to excel in both their school drama lessons and practical exams.
Our second project, running from February onwards, will culminate in another full musical production - and the chosen show is drumroll please… Annie!
This high energy, feel good show puts young performers right at the heart of the action, and we can't wait to get started.
