As we move into the final two weeks of term, we just wanted to pause and celebrate what’s been a really fantastic couple of months at Bloom.

Our focus this project has been kindness, and students across all schools have fully embraced it. We’ve explored key characters from the play, looked closely at their kind traits, and thought about how we can reflect those ourselves. There’s been so much energy in every session, with students supporting each other and bringing real creativity to the work.
We’re also genuinely impressed with how strong scenes are looking at this stage across all schools. The level of character work and line learning this early in the process is the best we’ve seen so far. So many students are already confident and committed, and it really shows in rehearsals.
🌟 Stars of the Term
A huge well done to every student this term. The effort, kindness and creativity across all groups has been brilliant. We’d also like to give a special mention to a few standout students:
EM – Naya: for her brilliant sense of humour and consistently excellent behaviour, she’s a real joy in sessions.
OLOR – Elsie: for her detailed and engaging character work this term, always committed and thoughtful in everything she does.
SA – Ayra: for her calm focus and impressive line learning. Steady, reliable and consistently excellent.
SH – Seb: for bringing both humour and reliability to rehearsals. Always lifting the room while staying on task.
LH – Cecilia: for her fantastic attitude and positivity, she brings real warmth and energy to the group.
V(E) – Markus: for his calm presence, kindness and excellent listening. He is a thoughtful and focused contributor every week.
PYTA – Eva: for her quiet determination and care in every rehearsal. She is a great example of consistent, focused creativity.

Behind the Scenes at PYTA
Poynton Youth Theatre Academy has had a really exciting term. Many students have stepped into new creative responsibilities and the space each week has been full of activity – from set design and projections, to lighting and sound ideas, choreography, and scene work. It’s been brilliant to see so much imagination and collaboration happening in one place.
A Quick Reminder
As the weather gets warmer, we recommend students treat Bloom sessions like a PE lesson - wearing their Bloom top with shorts or other suitable activewear, and bringing a water bottle to stay hydrated.

The Bloom Team
